Frequently Asked Questions

About the practice

What is Resilient ADHD?
Resilient ADHD is a telehealth practice run by James "Bear" Clark, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC, focused on adult and pediatric ADHD evaluation, diagnosis, and ongoing care.

What states do you serve?
Washington and Idaho. To be evaluated, you need to be located in one of these two states at the time of the visit.

How is the practice delivered?
All visits are telehealth (video). After your evaluation, you have the option of follow-up visits as needed for medication management or care coordination.

Getting started

How do I become a new patient?
Click “Book or Get Started” on our website and choose the Resilient ADHD — New Patient Interest Form package. You will be asked a few short questions so we can confirm we are a good fit for your care.

How long does the Interest Form take?
About 3 minutes.

What happens after I submit the Interest Form?
Within a few minutes you will get an email confirming whether we can take you on as a patient. If yes, your intake paperwork comes in a separate email shortly after.

What if I have insurance you do not accept?
You will receive an email letting you know which insurance carriers we are in-network with, and offering a self-pay option if you would like to proceed that way.

The intake process

What forms will I need to fill out?

  1. Administrative Policies & Consent
  2. Intake & History
  3. Intake Symptoms Questionnaire

You can complete them on your phone or computer at your own pace. Most patients finish in 30 to 45 minutes.

What about observer assessments?
ADHD diagnosis benefits from observations from people who know you well. After you submit your Intake & History form, the trusted observers you listed will automatically receive a short questionnaire by email.

How long does it take observers to complete their part?
About 15 to 20 minutes per observer.

When can I book my first appointment?
Once your three intake forms AND all of your observer questionnaires are complete, we will email you a booking link.

Cost and insurance

What are the self-pay rates?

  • Initial evaluation: $600
  • Follow-up visits: $200
  • Medication management visits: $180

A typical first visit + initial follow-up runs around $800 total.

Do you accept HSA/FSA? Yes.

Will you provide a superbill?
Yes. After every visit you receive a detailed superbill you can submit to your insurance for possible out-of-network reimbursement.

During the evaluation

What does the evaluation involve?
A 60 to 90 minute video visit with Bear, where he reviews your history, symptoms, and observer feedback, and then discusses what he is seeing and what next steps make sense.

Will I get a diagnosis at the end of the visit?
In most cases, yes. Sometimes additional testing or coordination with another provider is needed before a diagnosis is finalized.

Privacy and security

Is my information private?
Yes. All clinical information is stored in Practice Better, an EHR designed for HIPAA-compliant care.
